We are currently seeking workshop teachers and lecturers for QuiltCon 2020 in Austin, Texas, February 20–23, 2020. Learn more and apply here.

Quilts of the Month

We're looking for intermediate to advanced quilt patterns with a mix of traditional piecing and foundation paper piecing designs. We will supply fabric and batting through our sponsors. Throw and twin size quilts preferred, but pattern can include multiple sizes.

Ongoing $350 for quilt and pattern
Block Designs

We're seeking designs for the MQG Block Study program. Your block design would be turned into a pattern and used as the foundation of two quilts, which will be made by sample sewists.

Ongoing $75 for design only
Sample Sewists

We're looking for sample sewists to create quilts designed from the MQG Block Study blocks. We'll send you the fabric and instructions needed to complete one quilt top.

History/Culture Articles

We're looking for articles related to quilting history and culture. Ideas welcome!

Book Club Leaders

We're starting a book club! We'll send you a book on design/creativity. You'll read it and write up a quick 200-300 word review. There's also opportunity to lead discussions in a dedicated Circle on the MQG website. We have a list of books but are open to your proposals as well.

Webinars

We're seeking a mix of webinar topics in both lecture and tutorial styles. Please send us your ideas.

QuiltCon Special Exhibits

The MQG is looking for unique and beautiful special exhibits that have a demonstrable relevance to the modern quilting movement, be it historical, impactful, influential or related to the modern quilting community. Exhibits can include historical, community and charitable quilts. At this time, we are actively seeking an Amish exhibit. Learn more here.
